it has some of the best beaches and coastal walking in the British
Isles, and some great holiday cottages. If you have a family and want a beach holiday Swanage is ideal, not only is there safe swimming and sandy beaches but there are also plenty of attractions nearby. The Chesil Beach area is great for walking and the scenery is superb, the beaches are however shingles/stone and shelve deeply so not recommended for swimming.
